| Forget everything you have ever known about the internet; we are changing it. |
In 1965, the first bit of data was sent from a computer in Massachusetts to a computer in California. The concept of a world-wide network grew and developed into the fabric of our day to day lives. As the years have past, technology has grown so much that possibilities are limited only by the imagination of those that use it. |
Good? Yes.
Bad? Yes!
|
| As great as the internet is, it is also equally bad. Identity theft, loss of privacy and fraud are just a few things in the long list of disappointing things that occur every day on the internet. At your home, anybody can see you and know where you live and if they want, they have the ability to disturb you and do things you do not want them to do. Fortunately, on our streets we have police officers to keep an eye out for criminals and keep us safe. The internet is the same way. If people want to and have the knowledge, anybody can do just about anything they want to you. Who is going the police your virtual home while you are online searching for airline tickets, finding sports scores or just catching up on the news? Many people install an anti-virus program and a SPAM filter and think they are Fort Knox. The truth is if you do not constantly update your anti-virus software, you are not going to be protected. As for SPAM, how many times have you lost an important email from your parents, friends or children because it got marked as SPAM? |
What about other things? Is the internet just for email and eBay? We want to show people there is a world more to the internet than what most people know. Without further ado, Gafana.com |
